Country and Hispanic rarely are spoken in the same sentence-that is,

except when you are talking about artist Candice Crain.  She is a rarity in Country Music.

She is paving the way for the Latin experience in Country Music!

All the way from Colorado, Candice’s natural performing talent showed itself at age 7.  After putting a guitar in her hands it took her only two weeks to learn the instrument. She ran with her talent performing everywhere she could like talent shows, school choirs, 4-H, Boys & Girls Club, rodeos, car races, and night-clubs as she got older. Once she won at the state level of the Colorado Country Music Association, she headed to Pigeon Forge, TN for the national finals at the North American Country Music Association. Candice won in EVERY category she entered, taking home the prestigious HORIZON Award. She was ready to make the move to Nashville.

Music has always been a part of her culture. Finding a way to combine Candice’s Hispanic culture in country music is something that came easy to her.  I’m a country singer that just happens to be Hispanic and I’m proud of both,” Crain has said. Nashville has opened its’ doors and embraced Candice and her music.

Since moving to Nashville in 2005, Candice has performed in Eric Church’s (Capitol Records) debut music video “How ‘Bout You” through the Suzanne Skinner Talent Agency. In January 2009, she had also have a small role in the movie “A New Day” co-starring John Cusack. Also in January 2009, she will shared the stage with John Wait in Milwaukee, WI.  Candice has played all over Nashville, you name it, she’s played there.

Candice’s music has been featured on radio stations in Tennessee, Colorado, Indiana, Wisconsin, & Georgia. Her music is also on high rotation on Neon Productions Radio on Musictogousa.com through the Nashville Broadcasting Network and Europe’s “Hot ‘n Gold” e-radio.

Candice has had in depth interviews with several American and European radio stations. As well as Country Home Magazine, Germany’s Premiere Country Music Magazine, and she has also appeared in Country Music Today magazine.

Candice participated in the CMA Music Festival for the last several years, twice having her own booth and selling out of all of her merchandise the first year she was there.   “I have been treated well by the industry.”  It shows that country music is ready for a change!
